Capturing Athens
Flying down to Athens, Greece for a photo trip. Objective: trying to capture the city in a couple of Photos during our three nights stay. The challenge - how to represent this vast city in a couple of photos and only have visited a partial part of the town. We focused on the city center and Piraeus.
Athens has a lot of cats and they seem to be looked after by the people. Captured one of many cat shelters, this one in front of a club
A rather grumpy looking Cat staring down at me. Lot’s of cats to take pictures from in this town. But rather shy and not always easy to get close enough.
The Facade of the grand Hyatt. I liked the pattern of the balconies
Fresh Pulpo hanging outside of a restaurant in Piraeus.
Fresh Fish in a downtown Market Hall. The vendor keeping an eye on me that I only photograph his fish and dont run off with it.
Pretty big Mural on a house in downtown Athens.
There are a lot of orange trees in the side streets. Looked beautiful, we just wondered how hight their lead levels are, as the traffic in Athens is quite a thing.
Small Fishing Boat in one of the Harbors of Piraues. Interesting to see all the big Yachts and besides them the small, colorful fishing boats
Traffic Lights on a big road leading into the city.
